AI Repair privacy policy
Version 2026-10-15
AI Repair fixes problems on your computer with the help of an AI model that runs through our server. This page says who we are, what leaves your computer, what we keep and for how long, who else handles it, and how to delete it.
Who we are
- AI Repair is run by A&S LOMOND LIMITED.
- Questions about privacy, and requests to see, correct or delete your data, go to [email protected].
What leaves your computer
- What you type into the app, and screenshots only when you add one yourself.
- Short results of the checks the app runs, never raw command output: for example that a printer is paused, or how full the disk is.
- A device summary: the computer model, the operating system version, memory, and the last health scan.
- To sign in: your email address, for a one-time code, and for one welcome email when your account is made. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft, nothing extra leaves the app: you sign in on that company’s page in your browser, and it tells us who you are. There is no password.
What is replaced before it leaves
- In text, your username and home folder, the computer’s name, its serial number, MAC addresses and Wi-Fi network names are replaced by aliases such as WIFI_1 before anything is sent.
- Screenshots are not changed: a screenshot you add is sent as it is, so check that it shows nothing private before you add it.
- The map from aliases to the real names stays on your computer, in the app’s own database.
What never leaves your computer
- The activity log, undo data, your settings and the alias map.
- Nothing is sent while you are signed out.
What we keep, and for how long
- Your account: the email address we reach you at, the plan, the devices signed in, and, once you have paid, the number of your customer record at Stripe.
- If you sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft: which one, the account number that company gives AI Repair for you, and the email address it shares with us. For Apple we also keep, encrypted, a token Apple gives us, so we can end the connection when you delete your account. We never see your password there, and we don’t ask for your name, contacts or anything else.
- Problem records: your messages, the AI’s answers, which functions ran with their short results, and the device summary. They are deleted 90 days after the problem ends.
- Credit records: when a fix was used, without the problem’s content, for billing.
- Sign-in codes are deleted a day after they expire; sign-in tokens a month after they expire or are revoked.
- A sign-in through Apple, Google or Microsoft leaves a short record (which company, your internet address, the time) that is deleted a day later.
- The internet address (IP address) your computer connects from is kept with each sign-in code, to limit how many codes one address can request, and is deleted with the code. The web server’s access log keeps addresses for about two weeks. Our own server logs do not record them.
Who sees it
- Anthropic, the AI model provider, receives the privacy-filtered text and results needed to work on your problem, and any screenshot you add as it is, under API terms that do not allow training on it.
- Stripe handles payments. To link a payment to your account we give Stripe your email address and an account number; your card details go to Stripe directly and we never see them. We keep only your plan and the state of your subscription. Stripe keeps invoices and payment records after your account is deleted, as tax law requires.
- Our server runs on a machine at a hosting provider (Oracle Cloud during the beta); it holds the data listed above.
- Cloudflare sends our sign-in emails, so it handles your email address and the code, and it carries the connection between the app and our server, so it handles your internet address and the data passing through.
- Apple, Google and Microsoft, only if you sign in with them. They learn that you signed in to AI Repair.
- If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we write to the address Apple gives us, and Apple forwards the mail to you.
- We do not sell personal data, and there are no ads.
Delete your account
- Settings › Account › Delete my account removes your account, your devices and your problem records on the server, your customer record at Stripe (a paid plan ends at once; Stripe keeps its invoices and payment records), and the activity log and alias map on this computer. Credit records stay without your email, for accounting.
- If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to end AI Repair’s connection to your Apple Account.
